Fun team bonding activity! To celebrate the holiday season for a team outing we went to Makes Perfect Scents for DIY a candle-making session. Lonnie was a wonderful hostess and guide in the process. Her assistant also helped make sure everyone was comfortable and supported whenever questions arose on next steps. The experience included selecting an appropriate (8 or 10 oz.) vessel, trying all different scents to narrow down personal favorites, mixing and pouring the wax, and decorating with provided dried flowers and/or crystals. While waiting for our candles to cure, we made 3 additional tealights of the same or differing scent. Our creations were thoughtfully wrapped up for easy transport afterward. The studio is located in the same plaza as Whole Foods but among the first floor shops (which I didn’t realize existed!). Plenty of parking, which can get busy depending on the time of day, but easy access all around. The space is beautiful and cozy. There is a restroom available and an area to set up snacks that our team brought in to add to the fun. Also, Lonnie said that if we use up our candle, we can bring it back to the shop and it can be refilled with the scent of the month for $15, so that’s a great way to reuse the candle vessel and make sure it doesn’t go to waste. Highly recommend!!!

I was here to celebrate a birthday and it was so nice. The space is really cute and girly, the playlist was perfect, and Lonnie the owner was super helpful and patient with all of our questions.
